Stumpwork: ‘Anyone for Strawberries’ with Anna Lang

Stumpwork embroidery, as we know it, is predominantly a decorative style of raised embroidery, that employs detached elements which are stitched on separate piece of fabric. These elements are usually worked around pieces of wire and then are applied to the background embroidery to give a three-dimensional effect.
In the workshop we will be stitching Strawberries, Strawberry flowers and leaves. We will make strawberries which are 3D, learn to make the raised elements using wire and stitch the background embroidery
