Perfecting Hardanger Picots Mini Class
June 26 @ 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm
Hardanger Embroidery from Norway is a tone-on-tone embroidery featuring open cut and drawn work which is often referred to as Hardanger Lace. The “lace” can take many forms and often includes picots [pee-koh].
Two methods of creating a picot, looped and knotted, are explored in this mini class, designed for those who have a working knowledge of hardanger as some pre-class preparation is needed.
Students will produce a small sampler in this technique only class and a kit is not provided.
$35 for members $45 for non-members
Comprehensive notes are provided for this class at a cost of $2.50, cash payable to the tutor on the day.
Students will need to prepare a small piece of suitable counted thread fabric prior to the class. A list of requirements and instructions for the class preparation will be forwarded to you after enrolment.
