Paisley Shape

The paisley shape allows the stitcher to use a range of surface stitches that they would be familiar with, whilst also learning other stitches that will create an almost lacy feel to your work and, best of all, there is minimum counting involved.

The design is suitable for a range of items including sewing accoutrements, table linen or items of a personal nature (handkerchief corner, lavender sachets or shoe insert sachets).  Just as the design is flexible in its range of uses, colour options will only be limited by the imagination of the stitcher.  As the photograph highlights, the design can be done in white on cream, variegated thread or with a bolder colour palette.
