Discovering Needlepoint – small sampler
September 4 @ 9:30 am - 3:00 pm
This 2-day class will be held on Saturday 4 and Sunday 5 September 2021.
The pincushion is a small sampler incorporating more than 10 of the commonly used stitches and is designed to be an initial exploration of Needlepoint embroidery. The finished size of the embroidery is approximately 6.5 cm x 6.5 cm and worked on grey 18ct canvas.
Students will be able to choose their own thread colour and these requirements will be sent to you before the class. The example is worked with 3 colours but the design may be worked in 2 or 3 colours.
Students will need to have some knowledge of basic embroidery terms and an appreciation of counted thread embroidery will be an advantage.
Attendance on 4 September (Day 1) is essential in order to attend 5 September (Day 2).
$120.00 members; $160.00 non-members
$15 which includes detailed notes and a piece of prepared, grey 18ct canvas. Students will choose and provide their own thread and colour.
