Colour Class for Embroidery

Understanding colour is important in designing a beautiful and effective piece of embroidery. This class, one of six Essential Embroidery Skills classes focusses on which colours go well together, which don’t, and why. All you need to bring to this class is your notebook and pencils or pens. Elizabethan embroidery, as we know it today, is predominantly a decorative style of embroidery, which employs the extravagant use of colour, beads, metallic threads and a variety of stiches. It is worked entirely on the fabric surface and is rich, textural and exuberant. Hems and Hemstitching Class

In this class, you will learn how to perfect wide and narrow mitred hems, and a variety of hem stitches to complete an embroidery with charm. As a bonus, you will be given a weekend project kit. Christmas Decorations using bullion stitch

Beaded Christmas decorations

This class is designed to explore differing ways of using beads, crystals and metallic threads to decorate felt Christmas decorations. Two different designs will be worked: an elf’s shoe and a bauble.
