Crewel Work – Australian wildflowers – Day 2

August 24 @ 9:30 am - 3:00 pm

  This is the 2nd day of the class started on Saturday 3 August (Day 1).  Students will work traditional crewel stiches on linen. Ribbonwork Ort bag

This lovely gathered fabric Ort bag has a dual role for holding snips of threads and, in addition, a padded area to use as a pincushion.  Students will stitch four floral motifs in silk ribbon. Marquise Medley – Day 1

This is a two-day class to be held on Tuesday 8 October (Day 1) and Tuesday 29 October (Day 2) and will focus on stitching a sampler, which covers a medley of several counted thread embroidery styles.  The sampler will highlight techniques often attributed to northern and eastern European countries.  A wide central band of needleweaving is the focus of the piece, with kloster block flowers and motif, a pulled thread motif and even a needlepoint pattern. Hems and Hemstitching Class

November 17 @ 9:30 am - 3:00 pm

In this class, you will learn how to perfect wide and narrow mitred hems, and a variety of hem stitches to complete an embroidery with charm. As a bonus, you will be given a weekend project kit.
