SUMMARY:Thread Painting - Gum leaves with blossoms
DESCRIPTION:Thread painting\, needle painting or silk shading is a way to embroider a picture which has the same qualities of a painting. It is the combination of long and short stitches and the smooth transition between colours which achieves a soft shaded effect -ultimately a beautiful work of art.  To achieve the soft shaded effect\, a single strand of embroidery floss is used with the right choice of colours and learning the angle in which to come through the fabric and the previous stitches\, achieves a smooth effect. \nIn this beginner’s workshop\, students will be stitching one leaf and the easier of the blossoms.
