Moody Blues Ribbon Flower Sampler
Saturday, October 21, 2017 @ 9:30 am - Sunday, October 22, 2017 @ 3:00 pm
A silk ribbon work sampler, in blues and whites.
Silk ribbon embroidery is an old art form. Its often elegant appearance belies its simplicity. Exquisitely beautiful pieces can often be created with the simplest of stitches.
This sampler of 9 flowers is designed to show how to achieve different effects using varied stitches with silk ribbon. Hydrangeas, foxgloves, nigellas, day lilies, lupins, campanulas, cornflowers, daisies and iris are just a few of the flowers that can be stitched in silk ribbon.
The one pictured has been stitched on pale blue Dupion. However, your embroidery will be stitched on off white linen so the effect will be stunning.
