Let’s Start Hardanger
November 3 @ 9:30 am - 3:00 pm
During this one day workshop, students will be introduced to basic Hardanger techniques and stitches such as satin stitch, kloster blocks and buttonhole edging. A simple motif will be completed, which could be used as a festive ornament.
The workshop is designed for those who have not undertaken any hardanger embroidery but knowledge of basic embroidery terms will be an advantage.
Please note: Needleweaving is not included in this workshop.
Each student will need to have:
- A small hoop 10cm or 4” (your thumb must be able to comfortably reach the centre of the hoop).
- Small sharp pointed embroidery scissors
- Notebook and pencil for taking notes
If you wish to bring your magnifier or light, please do so but check with the Class Registrar regarding power requirements.
$60 (members); $80 (non-members)
$7.50 for a kit containing fabric, thread and class notes. To be paid to the Tutor on the day of the workshop.
