Drawn Thread Sampler
Sunday, March 3, 2019 @ 9:30 am - Sunday, March 24, 2019 @ 3:00 pm
This is a two-day class on Sunday 3 March and Sunday 24 March 2019.
You will be introduced to the magic of Drawn Thread work and learn how to correctly withdraw and reweave threads (internal selvedges). Two versions of hem stitch are taught together with two other types of hemming and one row with twisted threads. The student then learns basic Coral Knot, the essential stitch of Drawn Thread work. A simple run is completed, followed by a more complex run. The piece is completed with 4-sided stitch and satin stitches.
The student will have the skills to go on to more complex Drawn Thread work and this sampler could be made into a needlecase, be framed or used as a box lid.
$120 (members); $160 (non-members)
$25 to be paid to the Tutor at the class (includes fabric, thread, and notes)
