Beginner’s Stumpwork Embroidery
August 20 @ 9:30 am - 3:00 pm
Stumpwork embroidery, as we know it, is predominantly a decorative style of raised embroidery, that employs detached elements which are stitched on separate pieces of fabric. These elements are usually worked around pieces of wire and then applied to the background embroidery to give a 3-dimensional effect.
In the workshop we will be stitching a raised flower and leaves using a different method where we will not use wire. An explanation will also be given on how to use wire.
