Start Stitching – join one or more of our casual classes in 2017.
Do you want to embroider but are not sure how to start? Would you like to improve your stitching and learn new techniques? These classes are for you.
What are they? Regular classes run by the Guild in a relaxed and friendly environment to help you develop stitching skills at your own pace. And make something nice!
Who can come? Anyone aged 18 and over who wants to learn to stitch.
What will I be doing? Easy, fun projects designed to be completed—or nearly so—during a class session, whilst learning stitching skills at your own pace.
My tutors? Members of the Guild.
Where are classes held? In the upstairs teaching room of the Guild building. This heritage-listed building is located at 149 Brunswick Street, Fortitude Valley. The front door should be open – but there is a bell.
When? Monthly on a Saturday from 1–4 pm. Please arrive at 12.30pm to sign in.
How do I register? Complete the class enrolment form, found in the Class Information section, and forward no later than 1 week before the class date. Timing is critical to manage class numbers and allow kits to be prepared.
Cost? $30 per class (includes all-inclusive stitching kit and afternoon tea). Prior payment is preferred, via EFT or posted bank cheque/money order. Cash payment (only) can be made on the day of the class.
