Deerfield Blue Swag Handtowel with Deborah Love

Workshop Dates: 23 and 24 July 2011

Please note: All images, photos and projects are subject to copyright.

Deerfield Embroidery evolved in 19th century USA from traditional American Crewel. The white Kingston linen hand towel is stitched in 4 shades of blue DMC threads and uses traditional Deerfield stitches such as buttonhole, herringbone, stem stitch, lattice and French knots. New ways of applying stitches will be taught and the edge is finished in antique hemstitch. If preferred, a different final article can be made.
