Crystal encrushed Purse with Karen Torrisi (Sydney)

Karen studied beading initially in Australia, & then in London with Maisie Jarratt & in Paris with Lesage. She is internationally renowned for her haute couture beading & for film & stage show costumes. Her teaching experience started with teaching & training staff at her workshop and now extends to other enthusiasts, eg at Beating About the Bush 2009 & NSW Guild. Her bead embroidery projects feature in various magazines & she is the author of the book "The Art of Making Hand Beaded Bags." The kits she will supply for her classes with us are fully inclusive of all materials, fabric & thread. Students need only to specify their choice of colour at time of enrolment. Suitable for all skill levels.

Crystal encrusted Purse with Karen Torrisi

Small teardrop shaped purse encrusted with glass seed beads, bugle beads, rhinestones & crystals in an art deco style pattern. Techniques covered are single bead stitch, running stitch, stitching on rhinestones and sunray bugle beads. Purse construction techniques will be demonstrated. Approx Size 12cm X 15cm.

- Black & Gold;
- Silver & Silver;
- Fushia Pink & gold.
